Lucas, our inspiration, our hero
Lucas is the reason why we decided to start this page. He inspired us to create a space where all those afflicted by canine lymphoma could talk to someone about what they are going through. This is not a website offering medical help or scientific data on canine lymphoma, but instead, a place where you can talk to someone who has already been through this and who can answer questions about their personal experience.
When Lucas was diagnosed with canine lymphoma, we were unable to find a space like this and we decided there had to be one. This is it. I hope our story and our phone. chat and email resources can help make things just a little bit easier.
The Canine Lymphoma Foundation
Canine lymphoma is a type of cancer that originates in the lymphocyte cells of the immune system. Solid organs such as the lymph nodes, bone marrow, spleen and liver are affected by the disease. According to Purdue University's College of Veterinary Medicine, canine lymphomas account for 7-14% of all cancers diagnosed in dogs. No one knows what causes canine lymphoma. This website's goal is not to provide medical information regarding canine lymphoma but instead, to help those afflicted by canine lymphoma to have someone to talk to regarding their experiences with us and vice-versa. Thank you for visiting the Canine Lymphoma Foundation. We hope that we can at least offer a bit of comfort during the difficult times that you are going through.
Thank you for visiting the Canine Lymphoma Foundation. We are currently not a 501(c)(3) organization but are currently working toward becoming one. Please contact us if you have any questions or comments.
